About Us

Paddle Lochaber is based in southern Lochaber, the Outdoor Capital of the UK.  Mark had been teaching kayaking under his own name, or freelencing for other businesses, during 2009 and 2010 before using the Paddle Lochaber name for the first time in 2011.

Mark McKerral

Mark has been paddling and working on the Scottish west coast for over fifteen years.  He first learned to sea kayak after joining the Kintyre Canoe Club when he was just 12 years old. 

Mark has paddled all over Scotland in sea kayaks, open canoes, sit on tops and white water kayaks, but exploring the wonders of the west coast by sea kayak has always been his passion.  Recently Mark has also been spending more and more time Stand Up Paddling. Mark was previously employed by the Scottish Canoe Association where he held a variety of roles, including Coaching Officer.
